Spurs have not beaten the Reds in their last six matches in all competitions while losing three of the games played as well. In addition, the side's last three visits to Merseyside have all resulted in losses.
In 25 competitive matches, the Londoners have won just twice and were last successful on their travels in 2011.
Nonetheless, the South Korea star is confident of improving that record as the Lilywhites visit the famous ground which first opened in 1884.
He told Sky Sports: "I think it's going to be very hard. Last season we had a problem and last the game at Anfield. I've been twice there, first time we drew, second time we lost, so I think it's time to win.
"Of course it's going to be a difficult game, but if we play like we did against Manchester United, and if we work hard, we press, we don't stop, I think we have a great opportunity to win this game."
Son is once again enjoying a productive season for manager Mauricio Pochettino's men with eight goals and four assists in 24 matches. He added of his time at the club so far: "I’m living in my dream, but I can’t believe it! I love football, and I love work. This makes my life happy.
"For 90 minutes, on this day, you will never get this [again]. I just want to enjoy it a lot and not think about a lot of things. This is the most important thing, right now - to enjoy it."
