The Colombian is currently in the middle of a two-year loan to the Bundesliga giants, having struggled for game-time in Madrid, but Ronaldo recently blamed the Spanish club’s rough patch on the departures of Rodriguez, Pepe, and Alvaro Morata.
"They were going through a tough moment and you say things that you shouldn't sometimes," the Colombia international told Caracol.
"I believe that Real Madrid have very good players to have a really good campaign. They are a massive team, they have a team with the power to change everything.
"I left lots of really good teammates and friends in Madrid and I always watch them when I can. I keep in touch with [Sergio] Ramos, [Karim] Benzema and Marcelo."
While the former Monaco and Porto midfielder's loan move to Bayern is expected to be made permanent, it is also possible for him to return to Madrid, but he isn't thinking about his future.
"For now, I am thinking about Bayern Munich," Rodriguez said. "I have two years left here, I am doing well here and I am happy."
